TEAM OWNERS ARE REQUIRED TO PLAY! WE ARE NOT HERE TO PLAY MYLEAGUE OR MYGM.
No Team can win more than two Championships back to back. If a team does win back-to-back Championships, the team will be required to sit out the following season, but the team will receive a league voucher for their deposit for the season after the one they sit out.
THE ADMINS NAMES ON FACEBOOK ARE: Juan M. Mojica, Dre Johnson, Cadarius Smith, Louisville Beard, JW Wingfall Sr., and the head admin this season is James Nino Turman. Please reach out to the admin assigned to your conference for issues, and if they cannot solve the problem, they will reach out to the head admin.
REGISTRATION FEE: A $100 registration fee MUST be received as soon as you are approved to have a team; we will not hold a team while you collect the money. The $100 registration fee will cover five (5) players on your roster. The owner must register and pay using the website: uhlproam.gg.
PRESSING ****the most important rule listed and what this league was founded on and will be taken very serious*****: Below are the instances when you are allowed to full-court press:
You can press if your team is trailing at any point in the game by six (6) points or more.
You can press if your team is down by 1 point or more in the 4th quarter.
The closest player to the rebounder can take one swipe for the ball when the opposing team gets a rebound. Still, after that swipe, they must get back and can only steal the pass if it is thrown past half-court.
SANCTIONS FOR PRESSING: If a player violates the press rule, Admins will enforce the following sanctions:
The admin will review the recording and determine if there was a violation; if so, the game will be forfeited, and the player who pressed will be suspended for the next game (if it was only one time but it was multiple times that player would be suspended for an equal number of games). If the same player comes off of suspension and is caught pressing again, they will be suspended from the league for the remainder of the season.
DISCORD: Team owners/co-owners must change their Discord Display Name to add the TEAM NAME at the end of their Discord tag so other owners know who they are talking to.
STEAMING GAMES: Team leadership ensures every game is streamed on Twitch to include all participants in the game’s microphones are on. At a minimum, the Steam link for every match must be posted in the game stream discord channel. Failure to post the link or have the five (5) players’ microphones on may result in a forfeit. **Subject to Front Office discretion** The league name (UHL) and the name of both teams participating in the games, along with whether it is game 1 or 2, must be in every stream (description or title). ALL STREAMS MUST BE SAVED FOR A MINIMUM OF 2 WEEKS. NOT SAVING THE STREAM WILL RESULT IN A WARNING FOR A FIRST OFFENSE; SECOND OFFENSE THE OWNER WILL BE SUSPENDED FOR EVERY GAME THE STREAM WAS NOT SAVED.
NBA2K LEAGUE PLAYERS/ANYONE THAT PLAYS THE GAME FOR A LIVING: Anyone who meets the criteria in the title of this paragraph must be vetted by the League Front Office. Please make them known through the registration process. Please do so to avoid your team being disqualified.
ENTRY FEE: The entry fee is $20 per player on the roster. There are NO REFUNDS. Suppose a player is released or leaves a team outside of the established free agency dates. In that case, a cost will be associated with the player’s movement. If a team owner releases a player, it will cost the team owner $10 (paid on the website), Free Agent signings will cost the owners $10 (not including the player paying the league fee) paid on the website.
ROSTERS: THE ROSTER SIZE IS 12 PLAYERS. The league front office will post the dates the final rosters are due. Any roster additions to include free agent signings (for players who were not on a team in the current season) will be done on the website to include when an owner releases a player. The team owner is responsible for submitting the team logo, court design, and uniforms before playing their first game. If the above is not approved, the games may be forfeited. The league’s official email for information submissions (such as the signing of released players is done via email after you have paid the fee on the website (info@ultimatehoopsleague.com). As a reminder, your team represents the league, therefore, the front office can tell you that your logo is inappropriate. If you want to keep it the same, it could result in removal from the league.
ROSTER CHANGES: Teams can only play league games with players who are on the active roster. The definition of active roster means if you received an email, FB, or Discord confirmation that your roster addition or deletion was processed or you see the player on your roster in the mystats website URL: mystatsonline.com/ultimatehoopsleague to be eligible. Once you submit your roster change, you must allow the admins 24 hours to make the change (it could be immediate but take no more than 24 hours). The player is eligible to participate once you have confirmation that the player(s) were added from UHL NEWJURU, BOYZDA, or OndaGrill.
Suppose a team plays a pick-up before receiving confirmation from the league administration. In that case, the game is subject to being forfeited.
GAMERTAG CHANGES: No gamertag changes are allowed once the roster is submitted at the start of the season. Suppose the player’s name is not updated and is found playing on a UHL League Pro-Am team. In that case, it will result in a team forfeit for playing with players not on the designated roster.
A player can only play for ONE team during a season unless he/she gets released or buyouts. Playing on multiple teams or with multiple accounts will result in being removed from the league with no refund.
Suppose an issue arises where the team owner no longer wishes to be an owner. In that case, they can transfer team ownership to another player (with a front-office agreement) by letting the commissioners know. The change of ownership cannot change the team name/logo/color/branding for the remainder of the season. The UHL Administration reserves the right to deny anyone team ownership. (everyone is not cut out to be a leader).
FREE AGENCY
Every Sunday (except the first Sunday after the league starts) from 9:00 AM EST to 9:00 PM EST until we announce rosters are locked will be Free Agent Sunday. Go to the UHL Website to pay the fee to release a player or make a free agency transaction.
Showcase games: The Free Agent showcase games will generally happen during the off-season and the season’s midpoint. The off-season showcase is for NEW TO THE UHL players to showcase their button pressing to owners looking for new players. The midseason showcase IS FOR PLAYERS WHO HAVE NEVER PLAYED IN THE UHL and will be drafted, and teams will draft based on worst records.
TRADES: If two teams would like to make a trade, the exchange must be reasonable; for example, if player A is being traded and averages one ppg and player two involved in the transaction averages 30 ppg, we will not approve that trade regardless of how well you sell it.
SCHEDULING OF GAMES
Regular season matchups will consist of a game series in the Pro-Am private match. THE HOME TEAM LISTED ON THE SCHEDULE WILL PROVIDE THE PASSWORD FOR THE MATCH. IN THE PLAYOFFS, THE HOME TEAM WILL DECIDE THE PASSWORD FOR GAME 1 AND ALTERNATE PER GAME AS TO WHO PROVIDES THE PASSWORD.
When games are scheduled, the teams must schedule the games to be played back to back. Suppose a team has an emergency and cannot play back-to-back. In that case, the second game must be played within the next 24 hours or will result in a forfeit for the team with an emergency that did not allow them to play back-to-back.
If a team takes up to two forfeits during the regular season, they may not be eligible for the playoffs or come back next season.
Team owners will schedule times in the Discord team owners group. We will only consider a locked game time once both owners agree that the game time is locked. Any games coordinated outside of the Discord team owners’ chat will not be considered locked by the league administration, and no forfeits will be awarded if you get left waiting.
GRACE PERIOD FOR REGULAR SEASON GAMES: There is a strict 10-minute grace period from the locked game time for the first game and the second game of the back-to-back the grace period to start the game is 10 minutes as well. The teams must be on the court with streams posted at locked game time for the Admins to verify the team was on the court to receive a forfeit.
The two owners can agree to wait longer than the locked time, but the forfeit will be awarded if the ready owner wants the forfeit.
Suppose a team is responsible for multiple infractions in scheduling during a season (subject to the Front Office’s discretion). In that case, the team is susceptible to having one (or more) players suspended for their next matchup(s) or being removed entirely from the league without a refund.
PLAYOFFS
The following criteria will seed the playoffs:
The seeding will be done in order from the team with the best record who has a minimum of games played (determined by the front office and will be announced to the owners in the owner’s chat during the first week of the season). IF YOU DO NOT HAVE THE MINIMUM NUMBER OF GAMES PLAYED, DO NOT CRY TO US ABOUT YOU HAVING THE BEST RECORD WITH 40 GAMES COMPARED TO A TEAM THAT PLAYED 55 GAMES.
Note: The playoff rounds will be the best of 3 games, and you will have two days to play the series. The exception is that the semi-finals and finals will be the best of 5 games, and you will have three (3) days to knock the series out.
GRACE PERIOD FOR PLAYOFF GAMES: There is a strict 15-minute grace period from the locked game time for the first game and the second game of the back-to-back the grace period to start the game is 10 minutes as well.
MATCHING UP & RULES
Use these rules as a guideline for teams to solve issues independently before bringing them to the League Front Office. Rules here are meant to be explanatory. The League Front Office cannot predict every case that may come up in advance. Unintended loopholes in the language may exist. Suppose the technical language of a rule doesn’t fit with the intent of the rule. In that case, if a loophole or other abusive behavior occurs, the League Front Office reserves the right to amend and enforce all its rules retroactively, conforming to its intents and in the spirit of fair competition.
The Front Office will decide the outcome of any dispute (at their discretion), and as such, the ruling will be final. By signing up for this league, you accept all decisions the League Front Office makes, regardless of what this rule page states.
If there is a dispute on the server, the League Front Office’s ruling will be final regardless of what these rules state.
The winning team must post the end-of-the-game screenshots in the Discord Channel. Please capture the screenshot on your Xbox, download it, then post it. We want to avoid seeing screenshots taken with your camera.
Please note that central and eastern time zones are east servers; mountain and western time zones are west servers. (IF YOU ARE ON THE WEST SERVERS AND HOSTING, WE WILL REMOVE YOU FROM THE LEAGUE.)
If a player lags out:
a. If a player lags out before tip, it’s an automatic restart. Quit the game and contact the opposing team to match up again.
b. If a player lags out or is booted by any 2K related errors, the game can be restarted ONLY if it’s EITHER within the first minute of the first quarter or if the game is within 10 points in the first quarter. Anything outside of that [in the regular season], the team must continue playing.
c. [Playoffs Only] If a lag out occurs, you may be required to restart the game and play the remaining time with the same score differential. Example: If Team A is up 78-70 with the ball on Team B with four minutes remaining. Team B lags out. Team A and B must play the first four minutes of a new game, with Team A winning the tip and giving a +8 advantage. (Round to nearest minutes).
d. NO PLAYER MAY SWITCH BUILDS DURING A LAG MATCHUP RESTART. IF SO, THE GAME WILL BE FORFEITED, AND THE PLAYER WHO SWITCHED WILL BE SUSPENDED FOR ONE GAME.
Each team must finish every game regardless of the score. Full player/team stats are being recorded for league leaders and rankings. If a team quits out, the owner will be suspended for five (5) games for the first and second offenses, and your team will be booted from the league. One player must finish the game if the other chooses to quit at the end to save a boost, but someone must finish the game for statistical purposes.
UHL League Front Office reserves the right to share the live streams of teams.
Suppose a team begins a game knowing the opponent violates any league rule. In that case, the team automatically accepts the game’s results.
The burden of proof for rule violations lies with the team owner (video, audio, time-stamped screenshots. The Front Office is not required to track down evidence and will not take an owner’s word for it.
Team Owners must address violations during the game (if feasible) or immediately after the game ends. The results will stand if the series is completed before the violation is reported. The Front Office will not grant retro forfeits; violation will be enforced from that point forward except on a case-by-case basis.
To send a dispute of a game result or report incorrectly recorded games, owners must notify an admin or send an email to info@ultimatehoopsleague.com
Participating in any UHL League event means you agree not to harass and treat the administration team respectfully. Treating the administration team disrespectfully may result in a forfeit, a strike, a fine, or a ban. Our staff always intends to do the right thing and assist. However, they can. In the end, some rulings may not be in your favor. It is never personal.
Before submitting any violations, please carefully review the rules to ensure it is a violation. Repeatedly submitting fake violations will remove your team from the league without a refund.
UHL League Front Office reserves the right to modify sanctions as it sees fit. Sanctions range from suspension to forfeits and are determined on a case-by-case basis.
SANCTIONS
* If the front office finds multiple league infractions, a team will suffer sanctions that include (but are not limited to) suspension for your highest PPG player who’s not the designated team streamer.
COURTS & JERSEYS
The home jersey must be predominantly white or light gray. Away jerseys can be any color except white or light gray. Courts must be all wood (light color); color is allowed in the paint and apron.
League Admin reserves the right to request alterations to your court for any reason, including improper logos, obscenities, or any other unnamed reason resulting in a lack of aesthetic appeal. Please comply to avoid removal from the league with no refund.
The UHL league logo must always be on the court and can be found under the Gamertag UHL Newjuru. The UHL abbreviation must be on the scoreboard as the team abbreviations.
Coaches must submit a screenshot of their jerseys (home/away) and home court to our email before they play their first game.
